Angus Town Centre Fund

Angus Town Centre Fund

A one-off grant is available to eligible town centres across Angus to support our town centre economies by driving growth and collaboration, whilst supporting future sustainability and resilience.

Funded by the Scottish Government Local Authority Covid Economic Recovery (LACER) Fund, a grant of £10,000 is available for collaborative, business led projects in each of the following town centres:

  • Arbroath
  • Brechin
  • Carnoustie
  • Forfar
  • Kirriemuir
  • Monifieth
  • Montrose

We don’t want to limit the opportunities available, as such, the minimum qualifying criteria has intentionally been kept flexible to allow business leaders to decide how best to use these funds in their local area.

Call for Proposals

Angus Council is inviting one application per eligible town centre. If multiple applications from the same town are received, all projects will be asked to work together to agree and submit a single project.

For full information on the Angus Town Centre Fund including information on the call for proposals, criteria on what the grant money can be used for, exclusions, payment arrangements, measures of success, timings and correspondence, please contact invest@angus.gov.uk.

If you intend to submit an application to this fund, you must notify us of your intention by e-mail to invest@angus.gov.uk no later than 5pm on Friday 7 April 2023. You do not need to have worked up the details of your project by this date.

We will then contact everyone who has registered their interest within one week, informing you of the next steps.

This project has been funded with support from Scottish Government.
