Angus Businesses Shortlisted in Courier Food & Drink Awards

The sixth Courier Food & Drink Awards are taking place on Wednesday, March 27 and an impressive number of Angus businesses have made the shortlist.  Held at the Old Course Hotel in St Andrews, the Awards are organised by DC Thomson Events to celebrate the very best in food & drink and culinary talent across ‘Courier Country’.

A panel of expert judges had a difficult task choosing from the wide range of entries but have now made their decision and drawn up a list of finalists including Angus businesses:

Angus Alchemy – Craft Distiller of the Year

Angus Soft Fruits – Producer of the Year

The Rookery – Restaurant of the Year

Ethan O’Hare, WeeCOOK and Jason Cargill, The Rookery – Rising Star of the Year

Angus Soft Fruits – Sustainability Award

The standard of the entries was so high it made it extremely difficult for the judges to create a shortlist for the evening.

The high quality was evidenced by the number of entries received being the highest-ever for the awards.
