Angus Firms Shortlisted in Courier Business Awards

Several Angus based firms and individuals have been shortlisted in the Courier Business Awards in association with MHA Henderson Loggie for 2019.

In the Apprentice of The Year category, Declan McFarlane (Tayside Contracts), Jamie Craig (Rossie Young People’s Trust) and Lottie Reardon (Developing Young Workforce Dundee & Angus) are all vying for the award.

The Family Business of the Year (Angus) sees Kirriemuir based J & D Wilkie Group, go up against Mackie Motors from Brechin and Laurenckirk based Powerwasher Services.

There are two nominations in the Growth Business of the Year with Balhousie Care Group and Journeycall both listed.

The J & D Wilkie Group are included in a second category, The Manufacturing Business of the Year as are Baker Hughes who have a base in Montrose.

There is also a second nomination for Journeycall who are one of three finalists for the Service Business of the Year.

Having a nomination in the Apprentice of the Year Category, The Rossie Young People’s Trust is also in the running for The Social Impact Business of the Year.

Finally, to round off a host of Angus nominations, Carnoustie Golf Links are in with the chance of picking up the award for Tourism & Hospitality Business of the Year.

The awards which attracted over 150 entries – a record – are hosted by Phill Jupitus and Fred MacAulay, and take place before more than 800 guests in the splendid setting of the Apex City Quay Hotel on Saturday 26 October.
