Scot-Govt to hand out grants of up to £4,000 to help SMEs prepare for Brexit

A new grant scheme to help exporters get ready for Brexit has been announced by the Scottish Trade & Industry Minister Keith Brown as he pledged to help business deal with the economic consequences of leaving the EU.

To help prepare business for Brexit, a package of support will be created to ensure Scotland’s successful drive to increase exports continues.

The first element of the package is a grant of up to £4,000 for exporters and potential exporters.
The 100% funded grants will be used to support eligible companies mitigate risks and capitalise on export opportunities despite the challenge Brexit will bring. Grants will be “Open to all, but of particular value to small and medium sized companies”

Further details will be published later by Scot-Govt.
