Susan Boyle to Appear at Summer’s End Angus Festival

Singer Susan Boyle is to make her long-awaited return to performance at an Angus music festival.

We can reveal that the Scottish singer will make a special guest appearance at Summer’s End Angus (SEA) in Brechin next year.

As well as marking her first live appearance in the UK since before Covid, it will also be Susan’s first-ever appearance at a festival.

She will be on stage as part of the Red Hot Chilli Pipers’ performance on Saturday August 15.

Boyle, from Blackburn in West Lothian, rose to fame after appearing as a contestant on Britain’s Got Talent in 2009.

Her debut album, I Dreamed A Dream, was released the same year and reached number one in both the US and UK charts.

She released a greatest hits album called Ten in 2019.

Boyle recently announced she is back in the studio, with her website teasing “exciting news coming very soon”.

Announcing her appearance in Angus, she said: “I’m delighted to be performing at my first-ever festival, and it’s right here in Scotland.

“I’ve been back in the studio working on some very exciting things for 2026 and I couldn’t be happier to get back out there.”

Katrina Hutchison-O’Neil, founder and director of SEA, said: “Pairing Susan Boyle’s first festival appearance with a full Red Hot Chilli Pipers set reflects exactly what Summer’s End stands for – world-class moments that people will talk about for years, saying ‘I was there to see it’, but also at a price people can actually afford.

“Scotland’s festival landscape needs more meaningful diversity of artist representation and that does not mean any sacrifice at all when it comes to draw and value for ticket buyers.

Chris Judge, lead singer with the Red Hot Chilli Pipers, said: “Festival with heart stands out instantly and Summer’s End has that in spades.

“We’re ready to bring the Chilli heat to Angus and sharing the stage with Susan Boyle at her first-ever festival performance makes it even more meaningful.”

Summer’s End Angus was announced in October and is expected to see up to 8,000 fans a day descend on Brechin Castle showground.  It will be held from Friday 14 to Sunday 16 August.

The Jacksons have been named as the Sunday night headliner in their only appearance in Scotland in 2026.  Other confirmed acts include Judge Jules, The Feeling, Skerryvore, Gok Wan and George Bowie.

Early-bird tickets are on sale, priced at £55 per day or £100 for the full weekend.
