An Angus business whose work featured on architectural television programme Grand Designs will open a new showroom this weekend.

The new Forfar unit for Robert Sinclair Interiors will showcase handcrafted kitchens, a bathroom and tile section, as well as offering a cinema room service.

The venture represents a £200,000 investment and has taken two years to finalise.

Owner Scott Purdom said: “This is a brand-new facility and will complement our existing laminate flooring business.

“What differentiates us from other businesses is that all the work will be done by our team using high-quality German materials, in-house without using sub-contractors for any aspect of the job.

“We are also doing other interior services such as cinema rooms, which for us is a potential area of growth.”

The business has a team of 15, split between Angus and Dundee.

It will focus on the Tayside area. The firm’s showroom at Orchardbank Industrial Estate, Forfar, is now open.
