Angus Companies in Contention for Scottish Thistle Awards
A number of tourism and hospitality business within Tayside have made the shortlist for this year’s regional Scottish Thistle Awards final.
Two Angus business have been nominated; Newton Farm Holiday and Tours and Forbes of Kingennie, in what is described as Scotland’s premier awards for the tourist industry, celebrating success, innovation, excellence and best practice in Scotland’s hospitality and tourism sector.
Newton Farm Holidays and Tours are shortlisted in two of the categories. The first of those is in the Most Hospitable B&B/Guest House category where they face competition from Errichel House, Aberfeldy and Craigmhor Lodge and Courtyard, Pitlochry. The Forfar based organisation’s second nomination is in the Best Outdoor Adventure/Experience alongside Go Ape, Aberfoyle and Wee Adventures Ltd, Aberfeldy.
Forbes of Kingennie Country Resort are nominated in the Best Self Catering Accommodation Experience and are up against The Rings, Cupar and Leny Estate, Callendar.
The awards are led by a panel of experts from several organisations involved in the Scottish tourism industry and hospitality sector, and the winners will be disclosed at Edinburgh’s Prestonfield House Hotel in November.
