Arbroath Training Firm Looks Towards Europe

IED Training Solutions, the Arbroath based training company set up three years ago by ex-Royal Marines, Ian Clark and Paul Barrett is actively considering setting up an office in Europe.

Ian and Paul, who have a combined service of more than 40 years with the Royal Marines decided to start IED to help change cultures within the workplace.  Now three years on the company has a staff of three, plus 16 consultants and has trained more than 1,000 people in areas such as leadership, trauma management, first aid, health & safety and fire awareness.  Their clients include such names as National Express, Veolia, Wood, Kier Group and the MoD.

Having seen the company grow in the three years, both partners are now looking to open an office in the Netherlands.  The potential move into Europe, follows the roll out last autumn by IED of Britain’s only industry approved trauma stress management course to a team of ex-military personnel from the UK and the Netherlands as IED continues to seek fresh business opportunities at home and abroad.

Ian Clark, Managing Director, is keen to see IED move forward with more expansion anticipated.  In addition to the new office in the Netherlands, the need for larger office space and additional administration staff is likely.
