Crawford Architecture Use Lockdown to Build Their Brand For a Bright Future
Well established Montrose firm, Crawford Architecture, have been using their time in lockdown to build upon their solid foundations and prepare for what the future holds with a brand refresh and new website build.
Established in 1987 by John Crawford, the past three decades have seen the business flourish from a one man band to a team of eight, including John’s son Kevin, who is a Director. Following the appointment of another new team member and an office refurbishment at the start of the year, the firm felt the time was right to position themselves for the next thirty years with a refresh of their existing brand.
Director, John Crawford, said “ We are delighted with our brand refresh and website – we feel that it really reflects how we have evolved as a practice. Just like our work, our business is built with people in mind and this is showcased in the examples of our work and the services we are able to offer on the new website.
“Like many businesses, lockdown has been a bit of a steep learning curve, but we’ve managed to use the time well to undergo these changes and also adopt some new virtual working practices which will serve us well in the future.
“What we are hearing is that with people spending so much time in their homes during lockdown, issues such as lack of space or impractical internal layouts have really become apparent. We feel that we’re in the starting blocks, with many virtual consultations and client meetings taking place during lockdown -now we just need the go ahead to get back on site for surveys. “
As well as working on their brand, the extension of the business premises prior to lockdown has given the team more space to work in, increased meeting space and an office ready to welcome back clients as soon as restrictions are lifted.
Over the past year they have also invested in new software which they can use to enhance their ability to create animations and virtual reality walkthroughs, allowing clients to visualise the end result before a brick has even been laid.
The Montrose based architectural team has a strong reputation in the area and have also taken on projects in Edinburgh, Shetland, London and Mauritius, with geography being less of an obstacle due to advances in technology.
