Date announced for Scotland Loves Local Week 2026
The fourth Scotland Loves Local Week will take place from Saturday 13th to Saturday 20th June 2026 – showcasing and celebrating the people, businesses and initiatives that make communities across Scotland thrive.
This year’s programme will be particularly special, with the 2026 theme – Flying the Flag for Local Businesses – celebrating real national pride.
As Scotland’s football stars compete in the World Cup, communities are being encouraged to show their support by flying the flag for their local businesses and the people behind them.
Behind every small business is a neighbour, a friend or a family member. And, as we celebrate Scotland on the global sporting stage, we can also celebrate the people at our grassroots who make our towns and neighbourhoods great.
At the heart of the campaign is a simple message: think local first. Supporting local businesses helps to protect jobs, sustain enterprises, encourage investment and create vibrant, attractive places to live and work.
Scotland Loves Local Week provides the perfect opportunity to celebrate everything that makes communities unique, while inspiring residents to show even greater support for their local economy.
