Do You Want To Join A Creative Digital Communications Team for Tourism, Golf and Business?

There is a current opportunity to apply for the Assistant Digital Communications Officer, within our busy Economic Development team, as a temporary position, to cover maternity leave.

The successful applicant will be responsible for all operational activity, monitoring and analysis across the Visit Angus, Carnoustie Country and Business Angus websites, working together with relevant officers across the Economic Development team and the wider corporate web team.

This will include producing and maintaining web pages, preparing HTML enewsletters and developing creative digital campaigns, ensuring both a customer focus and that usability and accessibility standards are met. They will also be responsible for leading on the SEO activity to improve rankings, monitoring metadata, keywords and descriptions and ensure they are correctly populated.

The role includes supporting officers to develop creative digital campaigns and plans, establish targets and monitor the online and social media activity in order to achieve increased following and reach for the Visit Angus, Business Angus and Carnoustie Country channels.

The successful candidate will represent economic development on the Council’s Web Estates team ensuring compliance with corporate standards and Angus Digital Strategy and promote effective use of digital communications across economic development.
