Funding to reduce waste and save money – available now!

Zero Waste Scotland is delighted to open the Waste Prevention Implementation Fund which is designed to help small and medium sized businesses prevent waste and save money.

The BBC’s Blue Planet II demonstrated the damage waste is doing to our ecosystems and wildlife. As a result, waste, single-use packaging, and plastics are daily talking points in businesses across Scotland. What’s more, waste is costing businesses in Scotland profits.

Since 2013, Resource Efficient Scotland, delivered by Zero Waste Scotland, has helped Scottish businesses identify savings of £140 million, through implementation of resource efficiency measures.

Expertise and funding are often barriers to change that could prevent waste and save companies money.

The Waste Prevention Implementation Fund is designed to help small and medium sized businesses overcome those barriers and prevent waste. It is grant funding provided by the Scottish Government and European Regional Development Fund.
