Musical Events Marks Completion of Arbroath A Place For Everyone
The eagerly awaited build completion of the Arbroath A Place for Everyone will be marked with a series of events over the few weeks, in preparation for the official launch in spring of 2026 when all soft landscaping is complete.
Last week saw traffic restrictions lifted on the project, six weeks earlier than the originally planned 77-week timeline.
The whole of the new section of road is now running under permanent signalling with the contactors Balfour Beatty expected to move off site within the next few weeks.
Soft landscaping will take place as and when the weather and seasonal planting allows, but this is expected to be complete by March 2026.
A series of events have been organised to celebrate the new spaces created by the project.
- Sunday 24 August, Dundee Instrumental Band are playing at Brothock Bridge 2pm – 3pm.
- Sunday 7 September, Cycle Hub will be running led rides, Dr Bike and crazy bikes 10am-3pm at Brothock Bridge
- Sunday 7 September, Arbroath and Carnoustie Band will be playing at Brothock Bridge 2pm -3pm
- Sunday 14 September, the Cycle Hub will be running led rides, Dr Bike and crazy bikes 10am-3pm at Brothock Bridge
- Sunday 14 September, Forfar Pipe Band will be playing at Guthrie Port and Brothock Bridge 2pm-3pm
All roads around the town centre are fully accessible and shops and businesses will welcome shoppers, as will the many bars and restaurants that are in and around Arbroath.
The new accessible walking and wheeling paths make getting around Arbroath even easier and will make visits to the town centre a more pleasurable experience for everyone.
