A local Angus businesswoman has been included in a recent Top 20 rising stars of women in business.

Former 400 metre hurdler with the Scottish Athletics team, Carolyn Hogg founded Cascade Water Products Ltd in 2012 and then reformed it in its present form at the end of 2015. The business, which develops greywater recycling systems, aims to help tackle the global water crisis.

The business is based in Council owned commercial premises on Kirkton Industrial Estate. They have been identified as a Business Gateway Growth pipeline Company with strong potential for growth and have been assisted by Scottish Enterprises Innovation service.

Carolyn was one of six winners of the Investing Women AccelerateHER awards in 2018 and had figured prominently in other early stage business awards. Most recently, the Company won the prestigious Scottish Wild Card Edge award in 2017.
