Precision farming specialist SoilEssentials is marking its 25th anniversary in golden style, as its groundbreaking SKAi spot spraying technology receives the prestigious Gold Innovation Award from the Royal Highland and Agricultural Society of Scotland (RHASS). The award comes three years after SKAi first won Silver (highest award for a new product), recognising its continued evolution and growing impact on sustainable agriculture.

Developed at the company’s base in Angus, SKAi uses advanced AI and computer vision to detect and treat weeds in real time, delivering ultra-targeted herbicide application. The technology drastically reduces chemical usage, improves efficiency, and supports more environmentally responsible farming practices—key criteria in RHASS’s rigorous judging process.

The RHASS Gold Innovation Award not only celebrates SKAi’s success but also highlights SoilEssentials’ enduring contribution to UK agriculture over the past 25 years.
