A well-known Angus bakery business with an “excellent reputation” has gone on the market.

The three branches of JM Bakery are being offered for sale for £300,000.

The main shop is in Carnoustie, and there are also branches in Monifieth and Arbroath.

The established business has been operating in Angus for decades.

It was awarded Best Celebration Cake in  Scotland 2022-23 by the Scottish Bakers Association.

Selling agent CCL Properties describes the sale as an “unique opportunity” to purchase a well-established and thriving craft bakery business.

The current proprietors have owned and operated the enterprise for more than 15 years.

Along with a busy bakery and counter business, JM Bakery also specialises in celebration cakes that are all baked and hand-crafted in store.

They also provide outside catering and are said to have secured some strong contracts with local hotels and businesses.

The main bakery is located on Carnoustie High Street.

The produce is baked and finished here and distributed to the branches on Monifieth and Arbroath high streets.

The celebration cakes are all hand-decorated to the highest standard in the Monifieth store.
