The Year of Stories 2022 will provide businesses and organisations with opportunities to engage and inspire locals and visitors to discover, celebrate and share their own stories of Scotland.

The year will encourage locals and visitors to experience a diversity of voices, take part in events and explore the places, people and cultures connected to all forms of our stories, past and present. It will contribute to recovery from the pandemic and inspire new stories of Scotland to be shared.

The year has five key themes, which are:

• Iconic stories and storytellers
• New stories
• Scotland’s people and places
• Local tales and legends
• Inspired by nature

How To Get Involved

Business and communities are invited to participate in the Angus Year of Stories Festival, which will take place throughout the month of July 2022.

The deadline for inclusion in the printed events guide has now passed, however new events can be included in digital promotion – please email us with information.

The Visit Angus website lists all events and activities taking place during the festival.

A printed events guide will be distributed w/c 6 June 2022 throughout Angus and within a 90-minute drive time.

Promotion of the festival will take place throughout May, June and July.

We would love for businesses to help us to share the Angus Year of Stories Festival, to get maximum exposure for Angus and encourage as many people as possible to visit and take part in the events on offer.
