About the campaign
The Angus Tour takes visitors on a journey through Angus, highlighting the variety and diversity of visitor experiences on offer from the glens to the coast, supporting local tourism and hospitality businesses.
Themed itineraries have been created to provide visitors with a pick ‘n’ mix approach to selecting experiences they can have along the route, based on their interests. The itineraries have four key themes – History & Heritage, Outdoors, Food & Drink and Dog Friendly.
The campaign also highlights different ways people can travel, in addition to travelling by car, including train, bus, bicycle and electric vehicles.
The funding received originally allowed for an autumn / winter campaign in 2021/22, which reached over 2 and a half million people through paid promotion on social media. Following this, the campaign received further funding for a spring / summer campaign in 2022. In total, the paid campaign ran from 23 November 2021 – 31 August 2022. While the funding has now been spent, the activity will continue organically. The Angus Tour is a strong campaign for Angus and we will continue to use these assets to promote the area and encourage visitors.
