The Aldi Scottish Sports Fund provides grants to help registered community sports organisations with essentials like equipment, kits, training costs and more – encouraging participation for all ages and abilities.

There are three funding packages available per region: 1 x £3000, 2 x £1250, and 1 x £750.

Applications are open to organisations in Scotland that meet one or more of the following
criteria:

• a local, community focused club with Sport at the heart of what you do
• a registered community amateur sports club (CASC)
• a school or educational organisation
• a religious organisation
• a Scout or Guide group
• a charitable service fund of the Armed Forces
• a Community Interest Company

Turn research into real-world impact for the Forth and Tay offshore wind sector with up to £50,000 in funding.

SWIFT exists to support innovation and impact within the Forth and Tay offshore wind cluster.

The SWIFT FlexiFund is our way of supporting shorter-term projects that respond to real challenges facing the Forth and Tay offshore wind sector and deliver real benefits for industry, communities and the wider region.

Applicants may request up to £50,000 for a focused project lasting 6 to 12 months. The final award value and duration will be in line with the expected benefits and delivery plan of the project.

We expect to support around five projects through this funding call, subject to the quality of applications, available budget and the need to develop a balanced portfolio.

Funding is awarded to and managed by a UK research organisation. We encourage businesses, public-sector organisations, charities, community groups and other partners to be involved in projects and to contribute their support either financially or in-kind.

Expression of Interest (EOI) deadline: 21 September 2026.

The Changing Places Toilets Scotland Fund will increase the number of new fully accessible Changing Places Toilets across Scotland, with a Scottish Government investment of £10 million over the next two years.

The fund supports planning and installation costs and aims to improve dignity, safety and community inclusion for disabled people, their family and their carers.

Who can apply:

Not-for-profit, incorporated organisations, such as:

• charities (SCIO, Company Limited by Guarantee)
• Community Interest Companies (CICs)
• Community Benefit Societies

Micro or small businesses (up to 49 employees), where:

• the CPT is primarily for community benefit, not commercial gain
• use of the CPT is free and not linked to purchase
• the location is appropriate and supported locally

Charities leasing buildings may apply if they manage the premises and have written landlord consent.

You can apply for:

• Development costs for design, surveys and planning permission and building warrant fees
• Installation of a modular Changing Places Toilet
• Adaptation of an existing building to include a new Changing Places Toilet

In 2025 the first round led to the development of 80 Changing Places Toilets. The fund is now open to new applications. The deadline for stage 1 applications is Monday 5 October 2026.

The Historic Environment Grants Fund (HEG) support a wide range of projects that care for, celebrate, or share Scotland’s historic environment.

To be eligible, your project must:

• be clearly connected to a Scottish historic environment asset (this can be physical or intangible, such as traditions or skills)
• show how it will help meet our grants priorities
• demonstrate good value for money
• be realistic and achievable
• not have started already (unless you’ve discussed this with and received agreement from our Grants Team)
• not already be funded by a City Heritage Trust or through another of our funding programmes

Funding streams:

• Express Grants: £1,000 to £25,000
• Small Grants: £25,001 to £100,000
• Large Grants: £100,001 to £750,000

The funding stream you apply to depends on how much funding you’re asking for — not the total cost of your project. For example, if your project costs £500,000 in total but you’re applying for £100,000, you should apply under Small Grants.

Your project can focus on any part of Scotland’s historic environment. This might be something physical, like a historic building, monument, archaeological site or landscape, or something less tangible, such as traditional skills, local stories or cultural traditions.

You can apply for funding for a project made up of one or more related activities. There’s no set limit on how many activities you include, as long as they all contribute to the same overall project. For example, you might be repairing a historic building and also using the project to pass on traditional skills through training.

All applicants must first submit an Expression of Interest (EOI). EOIs are open all year. If your EOI is approved, you will be invited to submit a full application using the Grants Portal.

New funded training opportunities have been made available to help oil and gas workers across Scotland retrain for roles in other industries.

The Scottish and UK Governments are contributing £3 million each for the 2026-27 round of the Oil and Gas Transition Training Fund.

The fund will enable over a thousand oil and gas workers to benefit from funded training and careers advice that will enable them to bring their skills and experience to the sustainable energy, life sciences, advanced manufacturing and defence sectors.

The 2026-27 fund expands eligibility to anyone resident in Scotland who has worked in a role servicing the oil and gas industry in the last two years. Applicants must also be resident in Scotland, and have the right to live and work in the UK.

The value of the funding provided will be detailed when you progress to the application phase.

The Tay Cities SME Skills Fund provides grants of up to £5,000 for SMEs in Angus. This initiative aims to empower the local business community by supporting workforce development through tailored training at Dundee and Angus College. This grant is provided by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund through Angus Council.

This fund is not just about financial support; it’s a strategic investment in your workforce. It focuses on enhancing employee experience, fostering professional growth, and boosting talent retention – all vital components for sustainable business success.

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) based in Angus can apply for funds to access a wide range of training and upskilling opportunities offered by Dundee and Angus College, helping your team to develop essential skills and drive your business forward.

The Standard Innovation Voucher scheme encourages new collaborations between a Scottish organisation and a university or college.

It aims to make collaborative work accessible to all Small to Medium-sized Enterprise’s (SME’s), sole traders, social enterprises and third sector organisations and is open to applications from all industry sectors.

Delivered in partnership with the Scottish Funding Council, the voucher offers between £1,000 and up to £7,500 to cover the academic project costs and is paid directly to the university or college. The organisation must contribute a matching in kind value, such as staff time, materials, equipment or a combination of both.

There are two types of Standard Innovation Voucher:

• Product/Process/Service Innovation Voucher: to support the development of a new product, process, or service for their company.
• Workplace Innovation Voucher: to develop the company’s internal workforce, including new or enhanced workplace processes, innovative workplace practices, or innovative business expertise. This does not include staff CPD or to finance any external training courses.

The Youth Jobs Grant gives your business £3,000 for every person aged 18 to 24 you take on across Great Britain who has been on Universal Credit and looking for work for six months or more, available from 30 June 2026.

Benefits for employers

• Receive a £3,000 grant per eligible hire. This will be made in 2 payments, £1800 paid in month 2 of the young person’s employment and £1200 paid in month 5.
• Access a pipeline of young people actively seeking employment.
• Reduce your employment costs while building a loyal, motivated workforce.

If you’re ready to hire someone aged 18 to 24 who has been on Universal Credit for six months or more and is looking for work, you could qualify for the Youth Jobs Grant.

Jobs must be at least 25 hours per week and expected to last at least 4 months to be eligible for a Youth Jobs Grant.

The Electric Car Grant offers banded grant levels for vehicles priced at £37,000 or below, with eligibility criteria based on the sustainability of vehicle manufacturing.

The highest grant, available for cars with the lowest carbon emission scores, is £3,750. The second level of grant is £1,500.

The grant is only available for vehicles that have been approved as eligible.

This marks the largest consumer incentive investment to date, reflecting the government’s commitment to phase out new petrol and diesel car sales by 2030.

The funding will be available until the 2028-29 financial year, giving both manufacturers and buyers a clear window to plan ahead.

A Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) is a partnership open to businesses or not-for-profit organisations, research organisations and graduates to work on an innovation project. Funding is provided to support the total cost of the project – businesses provide around one-third to half of the project costs depending on their size.

UK Research and Innovation are looking for partnerships that help businesses to innovate, develop, grow and become more productive by employing academic expertise that they do not have in-house. As a business, you may be looking for an academic partner to help you to address a particular innovation challenge.

Your business will have to contribute to the costs of the project, including the salary of the graduate, known as the associate, and the cost of a supervisor to oversee the project.

The SMART: SCOTLAND grant is a research and development (R&D) grant that aims to support high-risk, highly ambitious projects.

It provides support to conduct feasibility studies. It’s only available to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) based in Scotland, and supports activities that have a commercial endpoint.

Studies must last between 6 and 18 months, and the maximum grant is £100,000.

Applications are accepted all year round.

The National Lottery Open Fund for Organisations aims to continue to support organisations who seek funding to undertake creative activity such as a specific project or production, a programme of creative work, or a period of research and development.

Any type of constituted artistic, creative or cultural organisation based in Scotland can apply, but as the funding comes from the National Lottery, and is intended to support activity that maximises public benefit, any project that seeks support for commercial activity where the primary purpose is to create a profit is unlikely to be successful.

Eligible organisations can apply for funding between £1k and £100k for projects or programmes lasting up to 18 months. The fund is open all year round – with no deadlines.

The Scottish Growth Scheme is a package of financial support of up to £500 million for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Scotland. Backed by the Scottish Government, it aims to help businesses grow.

This funding includes Techstart Ventures Equity Finance, which is managed by Techstart Ventures on behalf of the Scottish Government. It provides equity finance of up to £2 million, in rounds of up to £10 million, for eligible businesses.

The equity funding can be used for a variety of purposes, including growth funding, research and development, working capital and capital expenditure.

Techstart Ventures invests principally in early stage startups and SMEs who are developing innovative new products with high growth and export potential.

The Scottish Government’s Heat Network Fund encourages commercial interest and investment that will help make the most of Scotland’s vast potential in the low carbon sector and contribute to the positive progress already made in reducing Scotland’s greenhouse gas emissions.

Eligible projects must be large-scale and based in Scotland. As well as helping reduce emissions, successful projects should also have positive social and economic benefits for Scotland.

This funding will cover up to 50% of the eligible capital expenditure of the project. You will need to cover the rest through other sources.

Proposals can be submitted to the fund at any time.
