Jen Corcoran will show you what she looks for when she lands on a profile and how to fix the biggest first-impression problems.

Jen will roast five to 10 profiles live on LinkedIn. Members can volunteer in advance or put themselves forward in the chat on the day.

Each person will get one to two practical tips they can take away and use straight away.

• How to make it obvious what you do and who you help: We’ll look at your banner, headline and positioning and whether they make the right people stop and think: “This could be for me.”
• What makes people trust you (or hesitate): You’ll see what I notice when I first land on a profile, including the things that build credibility and the small things that can create confusion
• How to give profile visitors a reason to take the next step: We’ll look at how your profile can encourage the right people to connect, explore your content, enquire or book a call rather than simply telling them what you do
