New £100,000 Fund Aims to Support Parents into Employment Across Angus
Organisations across Angus are being encouraged to apply for a new funding opportunity aimed at supporting parents to engage with employability services and pathways.
The Angus Parental Employability Challenge Fund is now open, offering a total of £100,000 to support innovative, community-based projects. Individual grants of between £10,000 and £20,000 are available for initiatives that can strengthen engagement with parents, particularly those facing the greatest barriers to employment.
The fund has been developed to increase participation in employability support by building trust within communities and improving access to existing services. A key focus is on creating inclusive approaches that connect priority groups of parents with opportunities that can support their journey into work.
Delivery of funded projects will run until 31 March 2027, providing organisations with the opportunity to develop and implement impactful, locally driven solutions.
A wide range of organisations, networks, and community groups are being invited to apply or help share the opportunity with potential applicants. This includes those with strong community links and experience in engaging underrepresented groups.
By extending the reach of the fund, partners aim to ensure that the right organisations are involved, ultimately helping to support more parents and families across Angus.
Further details and application information are available via the Public Contracts Scotland portal.
