TTF to close Summer’s End Angus as festival turns Sunday into Scotland’s biggest summer party
Summer’s End Angus has today unveiled its final major lineup announcement, confirming legendary Scottish dance pioneers The Time Frequency (TTF) as the festival’s special Sunday finale in what organisers are describing as “the perfect way to close the biggest party weekend of the Scottish summer.”
TTF will bring a full-production live performance to Brechin Castle Showgrounds on Sunday 16 August, rounding off a weekend that now also boasts one of the strongest popular dance lineups at any mainstream Scottish festival in 2026.
Across the weekend, festival-goers will experience:
- Rudimental performing a rare full live band, vocalists and production show on Saturday night.
- The Time Frequency (TTF) closing Sunday with a full live production performance.
- Judge Jules Live Band bringing classic dance anthems to life.
- GBX delivering one of Scotland’s biggest dance parties.
- Gok Wan kicking Saturday into gear.
- DNMO, the renowned DJ and producer making his first ever appearance in Scotland.
- KIMMIC, one of the UK’s fastest-rising electronic acts, hailing from Dundee.
Festival Director Katrina Hutchinson-O’Neill said the booking had been months in the making.
“TTF was one of those bookings we were incredibly keen to make, and one we know is going to be insanely popular.
“We’d actually been talking about bringing them to Summer’s End Angus in 2027, but when we received the very sad news that Bonnie Tyler’s illness meant she would no longer be performing any further 2026 shows, we all looked at each other and said exactly the same thing.
‘Let’s make the call.’
“Trying to replace Bonnie with another artist in a similar lane honestly didn’t feel right. Bonnie is Bonnie. She’s irreplaceable.
“Instead, we felt the most respectful thing to do was go in a completely different direction and create an unforgettable Sunday finale that celebrates a different side of live music altogether. We are so grateful to Jon and the TTF team for being so supportive and engaged and helping us make this happen!”
The announcement means Summer’s End Angus now offers one of Scotland’s broadest musical weekends, with chart pop, soul, rock, indie, folk and electronic music all sitting alongside each other across three stages.
The wider lineup includes Sugababes, Emeli Sandé, UB40, Pixie Lott, The Jacksons, Susan Boyle, The Entitled Sons, Paris Paloma, Lydia The Bard, girli, The Shambolics, Cammy Barnes and more than 60 acts across three days.
Katrina added:
“People don’t fit neatly into genres anymore.
“Someone can spend Saturday afternoon singing along with Susan Boyle, discover amazing new music like The Entitled Sons, Paris Paloma and Lydia The Bard, dance to Pixie Lott and the Sugababes, watch Rudimental absolutely tear the roof off that night, and then finish the weekend dancing to TTF with thousands of other people on Sunday evening.
“That’s exactly the kind of festival we’ve set out to build.
“Summer’s End Angus has always been about creating the biggest weekend of the Scottish summer- not by focusing on one audience, but by giving everyone moments they’ll remember.”
Summer’s End Angus is set to welcome over 20,000 visitors, of which more than 2,000 will be camping or glamping, and takes place from 14–16 August 2026 at Brechin Castle Showgrounds. The festival includes a free fringe event in Brechin town centre on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
Alongside more than 60 artists, the festival also offers camping, glamping, VIP experiences, family entertainment, artisan food & drink, cocktail bars, campsite wellness facilities including wood-fired saunas and cold plunges, and Scotland’s first dedicated festival ‘full bottle’ wine bar, The Wacky Coo which offers festival-goers full-sized 750ml bottles of Italian and Chilean wines for just £20.
