Aussie rockers headlining 30 acts from 12 countries in 2027 Kirriemuir Bonfest line-up

Bonfest organisers have revealed an international line-up of 30 acts from 12 countries for the 2027 AC/DC festival.

In May, fans from around the world sold out the three-day, 20th anniversary event in the Kirriemuir hometown of Bon Scott.

And the charity behind the global success have lost no time in keeping the momentum going for next year.

DD8 Music have secured Australian rock legends The Screaming Jets as headliners for 2027 in their Bonfest debut.

Success spanning more than three decades has made them one of the country’s most enduring bands.

Bonfest organiser and DD8 Music manager Scott Ferguson said:

“To have The Screaming Jets travelling from Australia for their first Bonfest – and their first UK appearance in more than 30 years – is massive.

“Bonfest has always brought people together from all over the world, but the 2027 line-up really demonstrates just how international the festival has become.

“We have more than 30 acts representing 12 countries.”

As well as the Aussie rockers, artists from Argentina, Brazil and the United States will join musicians from across Europe and the UK.

They include Terrorvision in another landmark Bonfest debut.

“Terrorvision are another genuinely major booking for us,” Scott added.

“They have produced some of the best-known British rock songs of the past 30 years and built an incredible reputation as a live band.

“Bringing them to Bonfest for the first time is something we’re extremely excited about.”

Bonfest 2027 takes place from Friday April 30 until Sunday May 2.

“After selling out our 20th-anniversary festival in 2026, we wanted to build on that momentum and deliver something genuinely international in 2027.

“For one weekend, musicians and fans from across the world will come together in a small Scottish town because of their shared connection to Bon Scott and his music.

“There really is nothing else quite like it.”

“Visitors travel from across the globe to visit Kirriemuir, see the Bon Scott statue and celebrate his life and music in the town he called home.”

The AC/DC invasion is estimated to pump more than a million pounds into the local economy each year.

“Bonfest is also the principal annual fundraiser for our DD8 Music charity,” said Scott.

“Every penny raised through the festival helps support our work providing music, creative opportunities, skills development and support for young people and communities across Angus.
