The Courier Business Awards 2026: Entry deadline approaches

There is just one week left to enter this year’s Courier Business Awards. Our annual celebration of the business community in Tayside, Fife and Stirling will return to the Apex City Quay hotel in Dundee this October.

Held in partnership with accountants Henderson Loggie, the black-tie awards ceremony shines a spotlight on the people and companies powering our local economy. Last year more than 750 people attended the awards ceremony.

There are categories for business of any size and in any sector to enter.

The awards are completely free to enter, with submissions considered by a judging panel who compile a shortlist.

The thorough judging process means each and every business is then visited by senior representatives from The Courier and Henderson Loggie before a decision is made in each category.

The entry deadline for this year’s awards is Monday July 20. Entries can be submitted on the Courier Business Awards website.

Categories include Employer of the Year, Brand Marketing and Social Media, Family, Innovation and Technology and Growth. There are individual awards for Apprentice and the coveted Business Leader award. A new award last year, for Medium to Large Businesses, will return in 2026. The Transition to Net Zero award is for companies working towards sustainability targets or providing products or services in that sector.

Other categories include Service, Community, Leisure, Tourism and Hospitality, Small and Young.

The Courier editor David Clegg said:

“The Courier Business Awards are about recognising the businesses and individuals helping drive this region forward.

“We know there is no shortage of ambition, innovation and hard work in this part of the country.

“These awards are a chance to shine a light on success, acknowledge the people behind it and bring the business community together.

“We want to hear from companies of every size and at every stage, from established names to growing firms with fresh ideas and momentum.

“I would encourage you to enter and be part of a night that celebrates the talent, energy and enterprise of our area.”
