SSEN Transmission are looking for a partner

Scottish Hydro Electric Transmission has published a new contract opportunity for facilities management services at a staff accommodation site in Kirriemuir, Angus.

The tender seeks a contract partner to provide both soft and hard facilities management services for a 16‑flat residential property used to accommodate SSE employees working away from home on a specific project. Services required include cleaning and turnaround support, weekly bed linen cleaning, management of communal areas, and reactive maintenance and repairs such as plumbing and door repairs.

The contract is expected to commence on 1 September 2026 and run for an initial five‑year period, with the option to extend by up to a further two years. The estimated total contract value is £700,000 (including VAT).

Based in Kirriemuir, the opportunity is anticipated to deliver direct economic benefit to the local area and the wider Angus region, with particular suitability for small and medium‑sized enterprises. The contracting authority has indicated that support will be available to help the right businesses grow and scale as part of the partnership.

The procurement will be run under an open procedure, with tenders assessed using a weighting of 60% technical quality and 40% commercial cost.
