Visit Angus is the area marketing campaign that aims to raise the profile of Angus as a visitor destination.
The focus of the Visit Angus campaign is mainly digital. The Visit Angus online channels are used to promote visitor attractions, places to eat and stay and what’s on in Angus. The Visit Angus website hosts a variety of assets including suggested itineraries and blogs about Angus.
Visit Angus Facebook has over 21,300 followers and Instagram has over 5,400 followers.

Naturally Angus
This marketing campaign, Visit Angus’ biggest ever UK consumer marketing campaign, aims to remind visitors of the experiences that can be enjoyed in Angus to help them escape everyday life, unwind, reconnect and improve their sense of wellbeing.
Content themes will promote the diversity of things to see and do and the variety of experiences that businesses offer visitors aligned with Angus’ key product and messaging pillars: Outdoor Adventure, History & Culture and Food & Drink.

Angus: A Foodie’s Paradise
This marketing campaign plan aims to increase awareness of the food and drink produce and experiences available in Angus, showcasing the area as a foodie’s paradise and a premier destination for lovers of food and drink.
This campaign will activate from July to September 2024 specifically, although food and drink will remain a key focus for Visit Angus throughout the year and beyond.

Angus: Where History Comes Alive
This marketing campaign plan aims to showcase Angus as a vibrant destination where history truly comes alive, enticing visitors to explore its cultural treasures.
This campaign will activate from April to June 2024 specifically, although history and culture will remain a key focus for Visit Angus throughout the year and beyond.

Angus: A Natural Playground
This marketing campaign plan aims to showcase Angus’s unique outdoor offerings and attract visitors to explore its natural beauty and diverse attractions.
This campaign will activate from January to March 2024 specifically, although the outdoors will remain a key focus for Visit Angus throughout the year and beyond.

The Angus Tour
The Angus Tour takes visitors on a journey through Angus, highlighting the variety and diversity of visitor experiences on offer from the glens to the coast, supporting local tourism and hospitality businesses.
Themed itineraries have been created, to provide visitors with a pick ‘n’ mix approach to selecting experiences they can have along the route, based on their interests. The itineraries have four key themes – History & Heritage, Outdoors, Food & Drink and Dog Friendly.

Insider’s Guide
The ‘Insider’s Guide to Angus’ consists of 100 unmissable experiences in 10 different categories. These experiences have all been recommended by people living in Angus and people who love to visit Angus.

Tourism Trail App
The Visit Angus Pocket Tour Guide app aims to encourage visitors to explore more of Angus and hopefully encourage people to stay longer, and was created in collaboration with the Angus Tourism Framework marketing group and 7 community groups representing each town.
There are 80 different stops identified on the app as places of interest for visitors. Each stop has a description, picture gallery, and links to any relevant films. Each town trail will link back to the Visit Angus website which will showcase places to eat, stay and visit per town area. The app also contains interactive content including augmented reality, 360 images, and fun games.
The app maps out the electric vehicle charging points throughout Angus, and with the use of Google Maps, visitors can easily find locations.

Ask Angus
Ask Angus is a visitor information scheme which aims to support tourism, hospitality and retail businesses to offer visitor information to their customers. Free information packs will be available to businesses filled with a host of information about their local town and the wider county of Angus.

The Visit Angus website lists details of places to stay, eat and visit in Angus. To add your business to the Visit Angus website, please complete the listings form. There is no charge for businesses to be listed on the website.
